Light’s Departure

The sun rose this morning

But Light did not shine.

Hearts and minds

Around the world looked toward

Its radiance, its beams of wisdom

For guidance,  yet gray skies

Met their expectant gaze.

Light has departed this earthy plane

His trajectory, Home Going,

Be yea joyous in this

Heaven’s call

His Journey’s end.
