BookStock Back!

It’s time for the annual Memphis Area Author’s Festival. That’s right BookStock is back this Saturday April 26. 2014. Its a carnival-like setting featuring authors and writers from around the general area.

It’s a Free Event !!

There will be fun and games for all ages! Like Writer’s Workshops, Summertime is Crime Time, face painting, live music, balloon artistry, a scavenger hunt, food trucks, and lots of books and many other events that will sure to please all ages!

This Year the Keynote Speaker is the Award Winning New York Times Bestselling Author and my high school friend and eating buddy Eric Jerome Dickey. I’m so excited!

If you are in the general area please stop by the main library and join in on the fun.

“The benefits of Bookstock are three-fold,” said Glasgow. “Customers meet authors and enjoy the day. Authors promote their work directly to readers, and the Library further develops as the convener and connector of authors and readers. We hope to develop a love for literacy and lifelong learning citywide,” she concluded.  Wang-Ying Glasgow is event organizer and Library adult services coordinator.
